John "Jack" Warner Obituary

John Dale “Jack” Warner, age 72, of Grand Rapids, MI passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025. He was born on July 21, 1953, in Hastings, MI.

Jack’s journey through the trials of dementia has come to a peaceful close as he was welcomed into the arms of Jesus and his beloved wife, Debbie Warner, who went before him. His passing marks the end of suffering and the beginning of eternal joy.

Jack was truly one of the kindest souls you could ever hope to meet. He radiated warmth – always friendly, always generous, always ready with a helping hand and definitely a playful tease. His love for his family ran deep, woven into every part of who he was. But even more profound was his devotion to Christ Jesus, which shone brightly in the way he lived his life.

As a truck driver, Jack traveled far and wide, forming friendships across the country. But he wasn’t just delivering cargo – he was delivering hope, faith, and the love of God. Few truckers take the gospel on the road, but Jack did, with unwavering conviction and joy.

He carried a deep sense of responsibility, embracing others with open arms and making them feel like family. Jack was always working, always loving, always giving. That was the essence of who he was. To know Jack was to know compassion, faith, and a heart that never stopped giving. He leaves behind a legacy of love and a road map of grace for all of us to follow.

Jack is lovingly survived by his children, John (Lisa) Warner, Shannon (Anthony) Richards, Tracy (Louis) Bandlow, Teena (Don) McCullough, and Tony Raison; 19 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Cathy Morgan, and Shawn Warner; several aunts, uncles, and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Debra (Bos) “Debbie” on August 5, 2018; great-grandchild, Blakita, an angel called home too soon; his mother and stepfather, Gloria and David Ponce; father, John Warner; brothers, Doug and Mike Warner; and brother-in-law, Mike Morgan.
