Kathy Farr, age 77, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025, in East Grand Rapids, Michigan. Born on April 28, 1948, in Barberton, Ohio, Kathy lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and unwavering faith.
She was guided throughout her life by her Catholic beliefs, which shaped her compassionate nature and deep sense of community. Kathy was known and loved around the community for her kindness, welcoming spirit, and beautiful smile. Her presence had a way of lighting up any room she entered. Those who had the privilege and honor of meeting her felt truly seen and cared for, she had a rare gift for making others feel loved and valued.
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband Tom Farr; her two daughters, Tammy Levy and Heather Edwards; and her son-in-law Al Edwards. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Harley Levy, Thomas Edwards, and Abby Edwards. Her family was the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their lives and accomplishments.
She now joins in eternal rest her beloved parents Jake and Rose Casto and her sister Ann Casto.
Kathy’s legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched with her love and generosity. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am on Saturday December 27, 2025 at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 2750 Burton St SE followed by a celebration of life at Noco from 1 to 4pm.
