Kenneth Lee Boettner, age 83, of Tallmadge Township, MI passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025, at home with his family by his side. Born on November 27, 1941, he graduated from Bryon Center Public Schools, GRCC, and Western Michigan University. On August 21, 1964, he married the former Gretchen Ann Maentz and together they have celebrated 60 wonderful years as husband and wife, enjoying a full and wonderful life traveling, camping and taking cruises. Ken taught in the Evart and Coopersville Public School systems for many years until retiring. Along with his beloved wife, he is survived by their two children, Ann (Jeff) Majoor and David (Alora) Boettner; five grandchildren, Elizabeth (Michael) Tankersley, Jacob (Ella) Majoor, and Sam Majoor; brother and sister-in-law, George and Marcy Maentz, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation will take place with inurnment at Rosedale Memorial Park. A celebration of Ken’s life will be held at a later date. To leave a lasting memorial of Ken, contributions in his memory may be given to Feeding America West Michigan.
