Kenneth Andrew Vanden Berg passed away November 8, 2023 at the age of 81. He leaves his loving daughters , Holly (John) Van Essen and Kerri Vanden Berg, his grandchildren Emma and Josh Van Essen, brother Gordon and Jane Vanden Berg, sister in law Lynn and Kirk Rottschafer and nieces and nephews; Shelli Rottschafer (Daniel Combs), Jenna (Chad) Jansen, Corey (Kyle) Visker and Ben Vanden Berg (Stacy Ladenburger). He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Vanden Berg.
Ken was an educator teaching Math for Grand Rapids Public Schools. He was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. He also volunteered for the the Red Cross. Ken and Mary Ann had many enjoyable years in retirement, traveling the US in their camper and spending time in Florida. They also enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 47 Jefferson Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 at 11am on Monday November 27, 2023 with a reception immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
