Kevin Kent

Kevin Darcy Kent, age 58, of Grand Rapids, passed away after a long courageous battle with cancer on Oct. 7, 2019 at his home.  He was preceded in death by his father Mack Darcy Kent and his nephew R. Douglas Burchett.  Kevin is survived by his loving wife Amy; two children, William and Grace; mother Joy Kent; siblings, Pat Kent, Mike (Denise) Kent and Claudia (Joel) Kent Mills and many nieces and nephews.  Kevin was a retiree from the United States Army after 21 years of service and also served in the 126 Army Band for 18  of those years.  Funeral services will be Thursday 11am at Third Reformed Church 2060 Michigan St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.  The family will greet friends on Wednesday at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm. Memorial contributions are suggested to Third Reformed Church.
