Lois Jean Beckering

Lois Jean “Brownie” Beckering passed away on Sunday April 9, 2023 at the age of 95.  She was born in Birmingham, Michigan on March 22, 1928 to the late Emerson and Dorothy Brown.  Lois will be lovingly remembered by her son David Eberhard, daughter Jane Young, grandchildren Roger (Kristin) Burckley, Elizabeth Eberhard, Madeline Eberhard, Cara (Andrew) Robinson, Allison (Eric) Newendorp and David (Allison De Knight) Young; great grandchildren Jacksen, Maclain and Emmersyn Burckley, Lola Petrack, Amy and Cal Robinson, Haven and Eden Newendorp, Nora Young and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husbands Richard Wayne Eberhard, George Ayars, Earl Beckering, her daughter Linda Eberhard and one sister Arlayne Knapp. 

Lois was very active in her community.  She loved her family and friends as one and had a way of making each one of us feel important.  She often spoke fondly of her early childhood memories with relatives in Pigeon, Michigan.  She had a special way of keeping her past and present connected while looking forward to the future.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who will be missed by all. 

A celebration of life service will be held from 5-8pm on Saturday May 27, 2023 at Watermark Country Club, Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
