Lorance Abram Longstreet passed away on January 19, 2025 at the age of 68. He was born in Grand Rapids on January 14, 1957 to the late Abram Longstreet and Gloria (née Pesoyian) Hojnacki. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Amber (Cody) Sanchez, Nathan Wood, Mary Rachelle (Chris) Johnson, Michael Jarrell, brothers Stuart (Robin) Longstreet, Tony (Doni) Hojnacki and sister Julia (Mark) Scholtens. Lorance is also survived by his grandchildren who lovingly called him Grumpy, Jarrod (Savannah), Cade (Haley), Micheyla, Madtison, Gracie (AJ), Sean, Caleb, Thomas, Annalyn, Jacob and Cody and four great grandchildren Riley, Stella, Bentley, and Carter. He was preceded in death by his wife Jodi Longstreet.
Lorance was a devoted family man. He loved his family and his church. He will be greatly missed.
The funeral service will be held at 10am on Thursday January 23, 2025 at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2250 E. Paris Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 with visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Church.
