M. Theodore Georgeson

Ted Georgeson age 91, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 7th. Beloved husband of 68 years to Frosene. Loving Father of three sons, Ted (Dominique), Andrew and Philip. Dear Grandfather of Teddy (Milos), Alex, Nikki, Andrew, Isabelle, and Aris. Favorite Uncle to Pamela, James, Tessa, Gloria, Christine and Penny. Great-Grandfather to Mila, Luka, McCullough, and Wells.  Born in Detroit December 1st, 1929, Ted was a very proud Greek-American.  A graduate of Southeastern High School in Detroit, Ted had many very proud accomplishments. One of his proudest was that of becoming an Eagle Scout.  Ted was very proud serving his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. He also served as Founding President of St John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church in Sterling Heights MI.  Ted also served his community as a 32nd degree Mason for many years as well as long time involvement with A.H.E.P.A. a non-profit organization promoting Hellenic ideals of education, philanthropy and civic responsibility.  Ted will be dearly missed by so many.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday August 11th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 330 Lakeside Dr. NE Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Burial Service to immediately follow at Rest Lawn Memorial Park, 3450 Eastern Ave. SE Grand Rapids, MI 49508.
