Marilyn P. Smith

Marilyn Parker Smith, passed away on April 10, 2024 at the age of 92. 

Marilyn, a grandmother of seven and a great-grandmother of four, was the heart of her home and family. She raised four children in a happy and loving home, and taught them the values of independence and thoughtfulness. Marilyn's love and dedication were evident in her 64-year marriage to her husband, Glenn, who preceded her in death. 

Marilyn's role as the ultimate homemaker and her love for cooking was unparalleled. She delighted in hosting family get-togethers, where her culinary creations would nourish everyone. She was the heart and soul of our family, and her absence will be deeply felt. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at 11 am at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, with visitation at 10 am. A luncheon will be at the funeral home following the service. Instead of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
