MaryAnn was born at Blodgett Hospital in East Grand Rapids on May 19, 1939.
She graduated from East Grand Rapids High School and then attended MSU where she received a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree.
Prior to her illness she was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Kent Country Club and the White Lake Yacht Club. She spent over fifty of her summers at Sylvan Beach on White Lake in Muskegon County.
She was predeceased by her mother Mary Montgomery Terryberry and
father A. Parker Terryberry. She is survived by her sister, Joann (Teke) Hoffman, her husband of sixty-one years George E. Byam, daughter Terry Byam Egan, two sons: Michael B. (Lisa) Byam and Jeffrey P. Byam, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A special thank you to Mary Goeb Wisner (husband Terry too) for being MaryAnn’s caregiver for eighteen years. Also to the staffs of Clark On Keller Lake, and the Green House who looked after MaryAnn during her illness. Her last twenty-three months she was watched over by a dedicated team from Diversified Medical Services.
There will be a visitation from 1:30PM until 4:30PM at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a private burial following the visitation on Saturday, April 30th.
