Mary Joan Cyr

Mary Joan Cyr aged 66 of Grand Haven, passed away in hospice care on Sunday, August 28, 2022.

Ms. Cyr was born in Great Falls, MT, on December 7, 1955, the daughter of Charles Krest Cyr and Barbara (Wilson) Cyr. In 1970, her family moved to Santiago Chile. She graduated from Nido de Aguila Elementary International School there in 1971. She returned with her family to the United States in 1972 and attended a private high school in New York City. In 1973 the family moved to Louisville, KY where upon Joan graduated later from High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and daughter Brook.  She is survived by her 3 daughters, April (Dunmire) Fischer of Phoenix, AZ, Barbara Joan Dunmire of Big Rapids, MI, and Deanna Joan Cyr of Grand Rapids, MI.  Also surviving are ten grandchildren, one sister, Katherine Cox of Aurora, CO and two nieces. 

Family and friends will gather at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home 11:00am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 for memorial service.
