Meredith Kindschi Obituary

Meredith Towner Kindschi, age 88, died peacefully on September 21, 2021.  Born May 9, 1933 in Floyd, Iowa.  She was loving and dedicated to her husband of 29 years, Rev. Paul L. Kindschi who preceded her in death in 2011.  Her stepson David Kindschi also preceded her in 2020.  She is survived by stepson, Douglas and Barbara Kindschi; stepdaughter Bonnie and Rudolph Dean, and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Paul, Jennifer, Nicole, Jed, Rachel and Johanna. She was also preceded in death by her sister Marjorie Funk, and is survived by her devoted niece and nephews, Clare, Linn, David, Errol, Rolan, and Duane. She was an active member at Westminster Presbyterian Church where her husband served as the associate pastor for a time in the 1980s.  She was active in PEO and served as a chapter president in both Florida and in Grand Rapids.  Following living in Florida they returned to Porter Hills Retirement Village in 2008.  Family and friends will gather for a memorial service in the future.  Further information is available from the church, or the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church or to a charity of your choice.
