Patrick Meyer Sear

Patrick Meyer Sear, loving husband and father passed away suddenly at the age of 51, on Friday, March 22, 2019.  Patrick was born on June 24, 1967 to Terry and Patricia Sear in Grand Rapids MI.  On February 14, 1990, he married Susan Tiemersma and they raised one daughter, Lindsey. 

Patrick will forever be remembered for his quick wit and humor who just wanted to make you laugh.   He was the true self-taught jack-of-all-trades and master of none, he could fix about anything.  He had an affinity for photography, loved listening to music and talk radio and was humbly proud of his home and beautiful family.  Above all, Patrick truly loved his wife and daughter with all his heart and soul.

Patrick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wesley and Audrey Brown and Bill and Jean Sear.  He is survived by his wife, Susan, daughter, Lindsey, parents Terry and Patricia, sister Becky, brother Jeremy and half-sisters Emily and Madeline.  In addition, he is survived by two uncles Mike (Sue) Brown and Roger (Diane) Brown, as well as two aunts, Maribeth (Mike) Mulvey and Peni Sear, many loving cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews and several long-time friends. 

Visitation will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Road, SE, Grand Rapids MI  49546, on Tuesday, March 26 from 1 to 3pm and 5 to 7pm.  After cremation, funeral services will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Thursday, March 28, at 11am, with burial following at Graceland Memorial Park.
