Rev. Eric C. Britcher

Eric C. Britcher, who lived and loved with abundance, entered into the joys of Heaven on January 1, 2026, at the age of 90. He’s reunited with the love of his life, Dorothy.

Family was Eric’s delight!  He is survived by his children, Curtis (Vicky), Cheryl, Dina (David), Bram (Thuy); grandchildren, Brandon (Kate), Elise (Eddie), Nathan (Amy), Hannah (Josiah), Eric (Laura), Meredith and Yen Nhi; and great grandchildren, Emerson, Everly, Callan, Stuart, Lola, Sebastian, Lyla, Raylan and Lillian. 

Ministry was Eric’s calling and his passion! He served as an ordained minister first with The Salvation Army for 40 years, followed by 30 years with Mayflower Congregational Church in East Grand Rapids, Michigan. Leading and nurturing people to know and love the Lord was the desire of his heart.

The family will receive friends at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 2:00 to 5:00 pm on Friday, January 9. A celebration of his Promotion to Glory will be held Saturday, January 10, at 2:00 pm at Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Road SE, East Grand Rapids.
