Obituary

Richard Aloysius Cebelak, age 78 of Grand Rapids, died on June 13, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents Aloysius and Julia Cebelak and his sister Elizabeth Cebelak.  Rich is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia, three sons, Craig (Donna), Paul and John Cebelak, siblings, Ruthy (Chuck) Bennett, Mary Helen (Bill) DeLiefde, Jimmy Cebelak and Geralyn (Kurt) Winks, nieces and nephews, Scott (Kristen), Steve, Chris (Lauren), Brett (Meta), James (Liz), Rebecca (Ryan), Joey, Brooke, Ryan (Jen), Sean and Alex and many more loving Tomaszewski and Cebelak family members.  A special thank you for all the love and care from family, friends and medical care team throughout Rich’s years.  Rich was a teacher at West Catholic High School for 40 years before retiring.  The family will greet friends on Wednesday, June 16 from 4 to 7pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home with a Scripture Service at 4:15pm.  A private Mass will be held for close family at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew on Thursday.
