Ronald Robert Eberhardt

Ronald Robert Eberhardt passed away on Monday April 20, 2026 at the age of 79.  He was born in Port Washington, Wisconsin on November 27, 1946 to the late Milton and Marie (Klauser) Eberhardt. 

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 48 years Betsy Eberhardt, son Todd (Melissa Bascom) Eberhardt, daughters Amy (Larry) Dulin, Catherine Eberhardt, son William Eberhardt, five grandchildren Lauren, Collin, Carter Dulin, Andrew, Nathan Eberhardt, brother David (Mary) Eberhardt and sister Janice Ferris. 

Ron’s hobbies were reading, working out and going to dinner with Betsy and family.

Ron’s passions were anything related to learning about God or serving God… Community Rebuilders, NC Presbyterian Pilgrimage, Steven Ministry, South Carolina Youth Mission Trips, Confirmation class leader, church leadership in various churches

In Ron’s work life he was a “Ron of All Trades”...

Printing, Executive Director of Community Rebuilders, Accounting, Nurturer of sacred spaces (St. Francis Prayer Center) and many more.. Never one to retire.

He loved his family - seeking time to be with all the children and grandchildren. Cherished times at Big Whitefish Lake, holiday dinners, Christmas gift outings with the grandkids.

Most of all - Ron loved people (all people) with the Boundless love of God!

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held Saturday May 2, 2026, with a visitation beginning at 1pm and a service at 2pm at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Rebuilders, St. Francis Springs Prayer Center – Stoneville, NC or to Faith Hospice.
