Ronald Grabowski

Ronald Grabowski passed away surrounded by family on January 4, 2025, at the age of 72 at Corewell Health, Grand Rapids, MI. He was born March 27, 1952 in Detroit, MI, son of Lucian & Jennie (Lada) Grabowski.  

After more than 30 years as a property management facilitator, Ron retired from Chase Bank. Regardless of the weather, one could always find Ron outdoors, whether it was working on the landscaping or shoveling snow. He deeply appreciated nature and enjoyed camping and charter fishing several times a year. He found enjoyment & relaxation by kicking back drinking a beer, playing a game of pool, or tinkering around in the garage or basement. Through the Gift of Life, Ron donated his kidneys, liver and tissue so others may have a second chance at life.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years Denise (Embach), daughters Jennifer (Ray) Hopper and Lisa Stradinger, and son Michael (Julie) Grabowski, sister Carol Reagan, grandchildren Ashley, Miranda, Savannah, Rachel, Emilie, Caden, Griffin and one great-grandchild, Emerson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 11th, at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546, with visitation beginning at 11:00 am until the time of service.
