Shirley C. Feighner

Shirley C. Feighner, age 93, passed away on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Sunrise of Cascade surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 23, 1931, to Wilbur and Olive Noll in Crystal, Michigan, Shirley was predeceased by her parents, sister, Virginia Erbaugh, brother, Harold Noll, husband, Robert Feighner, son, Scott Feighner and by her grandson, Daniel Gillett.

She is survived by her children, Mark (Janis) Feighner, Cheryl Gillett, Christine Linabury, Julie (Bob) Osbourne, and daughter-in-law, Amy Feighner; grandchildren, Jennie (Paul) Kovacs, Steven (Jane) Feighner, Lauren (Christopher) Stetts, Jeffrey (Bambi) Feighner, Katherine (Josh) Ricca, Christopher (Colleen) Feighner, Bryan and Emma Feighner, Megan (Scott) Vogrig, Sarah (William) Petrovic, John (Emily Wilson) Linabury, Robert and Betsy Linabury, Isaac (Clare Evett) Osbourne, Benjamin, David and Derek Osbourne; 19 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

After marrying Robert, they made their home in Grand Rapids, Michigan where they were active members of South Congregational Church and later, East Congregational Church. Shirley loved and adored her husband, children and grandchildren.

Her family will receive friends and family on Monday, January 20, 2025, 4-7 PM at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. The funeral service to celebrate Shirley’s life will take place Tuesday, January 21, 2025, 1:00 PM at East Church Grand Rapids (East Congregational Church), 1005 Giddings Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506. Interment at Graceland Memorial Park.

Shirley’s family wishes to thank Faith Hospice and Sunrise of Cascade for their outstanding care of Shirley. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Shirley’s memory are suggested to Breakthrough T1D or Faith Hospice.
