Shirley Jane Salhaney

Shirley Jane Salhaney age 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 20, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Pastoor, sister Arlene Hammond, brother William Pastoor, her beloved son Ronald “Chip” Chase and all of her Gina’s.  Shirley is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Michael Salhaney, her children, Dr. Stephen (Dr. Patricia) Chase, Colleen Chase (Steven) Cloud, Mary Salhaney (Todd) Tjoelker, daughter in law Donna Chase,  sister in law Sandra (William) Genson, 10 grandchildren, Matthew (Gehan) Chase, Kristen Chase (Suman) Adhya, Hayley Chase, Lauren Cloud (Benjamin) Dekruyter, Jordan Cloud, Daniel (Rachel) Cloud, Ashley Chase (Bryant) Jackson, Alexander, Nicholas, Mary “Mimi” Tjoelker, 11 great grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held 11am on Wednesday, May 25 at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2250 E. Paris Avenue SE, Grand Rapids with Father Michael Nasser presiding.  The family will greet friends at the church on Tuesday from 5 to 7:30pm with the Trisagion service at 7pm and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday from 10 to 11am.  Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church.  Below is a link to live stream the service live on Wednesday.
