Stephen William Baron

Stephen William Baron, aged 74 passed away on December 3, 2025. He was born on September 30, 1951 to William Owen Baron and Ruth Kathryn (Van Dyke) Baron.  Bill and Ruth operated the Baron Funeral Home in Zeeland, MI where Stephen was raised beginning a life time career in funeral service.  He was a licensed funeral director in the state of Michigan for over 50 years, and retired from Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service.

Stephen was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, LTC Col. David Van Dyke Baron. Surviving is his loving wife of 34 years, Cynthia; children, William and Kristi Baron, Amanda and Daniel Milanowski, Emily Kemp and Jeff Geiger, and Ryan and Jamie Kemp; grandchildren, Theodore "TJ", Samuel and Nolan Baron, Owen, Audrey, Alyssa and Emmett Milanowski, Tobias and Sahalie Geiger and Carter and Colin Kemp, Suzanna, Maggie, Jo and Olivia Van Dop; his sister-in-law, Gaye Elaine (Love) Baron and his sister, Mary Kathryn and Ronald Albrecht.

Stephen was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian church where he served in numerous leadership capacities including President of Camp Henry Board, Elder for Worship, for Music, and for Personnel. 

The family will greet friends on Thursday, December 11 at the the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 4 to 6pm.  The funeral service will be held 11am on Friday, December 12th at Westminster Presbyterian Church. Memorial contributions are suggested to Steve’s House at Camp Henry or First Hand Aid.
