Timothy Masek

Timothy Andrew Masek, 61, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his four beloved children, Carter, Olivia, Daniel, and Ian.

Born in Berwyn, Illinois to Joan and Otto Masek, Tim grew up in Riverside, Illinois alongside his two older sisters, Sue and Pam, and his younger brother, Todd. From an early age, he carried with him a deep sense of loyalty, kindness, and protectiveness that would define his life. Tim took great pride in his career, but nothing ever compared to the pride he felt in being a father.  Tim was also a beloved brother-in-law, cousin, uncle and great uncle. In August, Tim became a grandfather to his son Carter and daughter-in-law Emily’s baby, Vivian Grace Masek. Tim is also lovingly remembered by Dina, the mother of his children, with whom he shared the profound joy of raising their family. Above all, Tim was a man who embodied devotion: to his family, to his work, and to those lucky enough to know him. He was kind, thoughtful, loyal, and protective. He leaves behind a family who is endlessly proud of him, just as he was of them. His love and strength will forever guide and protect us.

A celebration of Tim's life will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, 4-7 PM at Mangiamo Restaurant, 1033 Lake Dr. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49506
