Wayne R. Snyder

Wayne R. “Papa” was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday October 14, 2025 at the age of 83.  He was preceded in death by his parents Bob and Ann Snyder.  Wayne loved the Lord and his family with all his heart.  He was employed by Dickinson Press for 40 years until his retirement.  He is survived by his loving wife Joyce of 63 years.  He will also be lovingly remembered by his children Lynn Snyder, Jeff (Marge) Snyder and Sue (Rob) Schmidt.  Papa is survived by his special grandchildren Cody Snyder, Samantha (Zach) Bruick, Megan (Zach) Mixter, Josh Schmidt, Ashley Schmidt(Jake Harpst), Sarah (Taleb) Farhat and Samantha (Jessie) Howard.  Papa also leaves behind his great grandchildren Parker Mixter, Nora Bruick, Malyk, Olivia Farhat, Kelsey Ann and A.J. Howard and Wayne’s sister Judy Graham and brother-in-law Bob Knapp along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.

The service to celebrate Wayne’s life will be held at 11am on Saturday October 18, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2700 East Fulton St. with Pastor Jon Niketh officiating.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be Monday at Fairplains Cemetery.  Contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
