Natalie, Your friendship has been such a special blessing to me. I'm sorry I never had the blessing of meeting your daughter, but I loved hearing you talk about Alyson and your son's and the Joy they are in your life. My heart aches for you and your family. I will keep all of you in my prayers as you walk this path. If you need anything please call on me anytime. Lord Be With You.

To the family my deepest sympathies. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to lose someone at such a young age. May the peace God gives sustain your family during this difficult time. Find comfort in knowing that God has promised to "Do away with death, mourning, and pain, the former things will pass away."-Revelation 21:3, 4. Learn about the One who made that promise at - jw.org.

It is not often you meet someone who completely impacts your whole entire family in such a short period of time. We knew Alyson for one week. Our some Charlie, 6, was excited to meet his new friend Alyson. They looked for rocks, crayfish, and anything interesting they could find. She genuinely liked Charlie and treated and spoke to him like a friend--not a pesky almost first grader. Our friends and our daughter all fell in love with Alyson just like Charlie. It was decided at some point that Charlie wanted to marry Alyson since he couldn't marry his sister. So sweet! Everyday, our families cheered to see Alyson. She was genuine, friendly, endearing, real, kind, trustworthy, loving, and creative. I thought to myself how excited I was to see what she would do once she left Kettering. So much potential. So much intelligence and talent. So much character. We can't stop think of Alyson. It's so interesting how you can mourn someone you knew for only one week. But we are. What a testament to the beauty of this woman. Her family must be amazing! We are beyond grateful to know her and she will be a part of all of us forever. We pray for peace and comfort for her family and friends and we thank God for placing her in our lives.

So sorry to hear about this tragedy. Although my family and I only knew her for a short time while visiting Presque Isle, Alyson left a lasting impact-particularly with our kids. Our hearts go out to the family and friends.
