Gerrit "Gary" A. Blok

Gerrit A. “Gary” age 50, went to be with his Lord following a construction accident. He enjoyed spending time with his family, attending Monster Truck Shows with his son Jason as well as watching his daughter Abbie perform ballet. He loved fixing anything that needed fixing and was an avid hunter always looking to perfect his tree stands.  Gary worked on the family orchard whenever needed, he was also employed for over 27 years with Dan Vos Construction Company. Surviving are his wife Pamela “Pam”, son Jason, daughter Abigail “Abbie”, mother Anna, father and mother-in-law Norm and Wilma Rottman, sisters Tina (Jim) Holderman, Drs. Barb Blok (AJ) Montes of Boulder, CO, brother Alvin Blok, in-laws Rick (Linda) Rottman, Melanie (Jim) Brighton, Cynthia (Richard) Marshall, Greg (Jennifer) Rottman and many nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his father Bastian Blok and sister Shirley Gridley. Visitation will be held Tuesday August 30th, 2-4 and 6-8pm at the funeral home. Funeral service will be held Wednesday August 31st, 11:00 AM at Ada Christian Reformed Church, 7152 Bradfield Ave. NE Ada, with the Reverend Scott Van Voorst presiding.  For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to Jason and Abbie’s Christian Education Fund through Fifth Third Bank.
